Canopy

One of the surprise offerings of the many adventure tour places in Pucón is Canopying. We signed up for a package deal, Canopying and rafting with the same tour company that took us up the Volcano.

Here's Sita and I all geared up and ready to go.

Climbing up one of the platforms to get on another line.
Sita getting strapped in to one line.
Sliding down one line.
Getting ready to go down another line. One glove is fitted with an extra-thick layer of leather, this glove goes on your dominant hand which is then placed behind your head as the break. You do have to break otherwise you'll crash into the tree at the other end of the line. They have crash mats attached at the other end, though, so if you didn't stop it wouldn't be that bad. The other hand is placed on the strap connecting your harness to the wheels which rest on the line.
Sita half way down a line.
Everybody waiting for me to climb up this platform to go down another line, while I'm taking pictures. You attach a harness to the rope hanging down which is then taken up while you're climbing up the latter. The whole time you're not on a line, your attached to some rope or wire, which is good because these trees are pretty tall and a fall would not be good.
A view of the volcano and one of the lines we went on.
More of Sita sliding.

Me coming in for a landing.
Sita's last slide over the river that we were to put the raft into in a few minutes.
